The door decoration of the PALATINE CHAPEL: Near the Norman chapel is the Palatine Chapel, the royal chapel of the Norman kings of Sicily, which dates back to the 9th century AD. The chapel was commissioned by Roger II of Sicily in 1132 AD. It took eight years to build and many more to decorate.
